'Attorney
Duties: Provide legal advice and services to support the organization's business in assigned region, in one or more of the following areas: contract law, employment law, commercial law, regulatory or compliance. May also coordinate legal matters handled by outside counsel. Review, draft and negotiate a broad range of commercial contracts. Ensure that contracts are in compliance with legal, regulatory and organization policies. Monitor the contract process to assure compliance with the organization's contractual guidelines, satisfaction of customers/vendors, including participation in pre-contract discussions, contract negotiations and contract changes. May provide legal advice regarding employment law. Liaise with Human Resources on all issues of the law related to the organization's human capital. Monitor legal issues and implications regarding discrimination, sexual harassment, health and safety, hiring and firing, as well as all other aspects of employee rights and responsibilities. Advise the organization on legal issues concerning intellectual property, real estate, or privacy matters. May examine legal data to determine advisability of defending or prosecuting a lawsuit. Study statutes, decisions and ordinances to determine appropriate plan of action. Prepare files and take cases to trial if out-of-court settlements cannot be reached or coordinate such legal matters handled by outside counsel. Assess impact of case outcomes and initiate steps to implement any resultant changes. Manage the corporate entities in assigned region.
Qualifications: LLB (Hons) or equivalent from a recognised university, with 3+ years' post qualification experience preferably with prior contracting experience in commercial transactions in an in-house counsel role; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Strong organizational, planning, project management, communication, presentation and influence skills. Strong business acumen. Solid understanding of the government regulations that effect the operation of the organization. Solid understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and/or drug development process. Solid understanding of drug discovery and development. Ability to work creatively in a fast-paced environment. Sound decision-making skills. Excellent skills using MS Office Suite: MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint.
Attorney
Duties: Providing legal review, advice and counsel to all areas of the company including, the life insurance, annuity, retirement plan services and disability income insurance areas, as well as agent contracting and licensing, agent compensation and product development. Will develop expertise in these areas and be responsible for delegated tasks as assigned from those attorneys primarily responsible for advising the areas.
Qualifications: JD degree and a member in good standing of a United States state bar association. 3-6 years of legal experience as an attorney for a life insurance company or other relevant experience. Solid academic record. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong work ethic and high level of integrity. Strong negotiation skills. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to provide high- quality legal advice with consideration toward business solutions to achieve corporate goals.
Attorney
The candidate will manage assigned portfolio of client cases. Draft the foreclosure complaint, motions and orders for default, decree of foreclosure, notice of sale and trustees' deed or sheriff's deed after sale. Research and analyze statutes, judicial decisions, legal articles, codes and the like. Communicate with clients, internal staff and others to ensure case is handled appropriately. Input and maintain information into case management system and ensure data integrity. Attend hearings, settlement conferences and other appearances as necessary. Establish a strong follow-up system to ensure deadlines are not missed for which various pleadings must be served and filed. Prioritize and work at a fast pace on a high volume of files, with a great attention to detail.
Candidate should have JD degree from an ABA accredited law school. Pennsylvania Bar Admission, New Jersey a plus. 5+ years of Foreclosure experience with lenders and mortgage services in Pennsylvania, New Jersey a plus. Proven Litigation skills. Experience in various client systems, such as LPS, Lenstar, and Vendorscape. Previous experience with electronic case management systems. Proficient in Microsoft Office products such as, Outlook, Word and Excel.
Attorney
The candidate should have 2-6 years' experience. Litigation candidates should have experience conducting written discovery, taking depositions and appearing in court. Coverage candidates should have experience with CGL and Excess policies and declaratory actions.
Attorney
The candidate should have 3+ years of litigation experience and regulatory, administrative, or appellate law. Experience in briefing complex administrative law issues before U.S. Courts of Appeals is considered a plus. Must have strong academic credentials, and writing skills. DC Bar admission required. Success in generating business is welcome.'
